Garden Design Process
1. Initial Consultation
An initial visit to view the garden and have a chat usually lasts just over an hour. We will talk about what you want from your new garden. This is where I get to know you, your home and what your tastes are. All of this information goes towards a bespoke garden design. We will also discuss your budget, how much you are prepared to spend on your garden as this can affect the design. Garden design fees vary dependant on garden size and complexitites such a level changes.
2. Site Survey & Analysis
Once you decide to proceed with a design, we will carry out a full scaled site survey and analysis. This includes soil type, aspect, views, levels, what you'd like to keep etc. All of these details go towards developing a bespoke garden.
3. Design Layout and Concept (Draft) Plan
Drawing from information in your brief, the site survey, and using the principles of garden design, we prepare a layout plan (an overview in pencil) for your approval which is delivered in person so that, in the unlikely event that you are not happy with anything, alterations can be made. Once agreed, a final hand drawn presentation plan is produced.
4. Presentation Plan
You will receive a scaled plan of the garden design, after which, if required, we can provide a quote for any part or all of the landscaping. We also supply a detailed planting plan and maintenance schedule with the presentation plan.
A full landscaping construction service is offered by our dedicated team of landscapers. If you would like to develop the garden gradually we can arrange to undertake the work at a rate to suit you.
Throughout the whole process I shall do my best to make you feel at ease. The garden design and landscaping process should be relaxed and stressless for you, so that you feel you can ask anything at any point.
